With the coordination of the United Front Work Department of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and the Macao Chinese Innovation and Technology Development Promotion Association, a delegation led by Professor Yin Yiqiao, President of Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau, visited GHVU on April 23. A roundtable discussion was held focusing on talent cultivation, academic exchange, and industry-education-research collaboration in the field of healthcare and nursing. President Tian Weiyi of GHVU and President Yin Yiqiao signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective institutions, laying the foundation for comprehensive cooperation in student exchange, faculty training, joint research, and academic conferences.
The event was attended and witnessed by Qu Boilai, Member of the Guizhou CPPCC Standing Committee and President of the Macao Chinese Innovation and Technology Development Promotion Association, also Board Director of Macau University of Science and Technology; Wu Huier, Vice President of Kiang Wu Nursing College; Kong Xianglong, Director of the Third Division of the United Front Work Department of Guizhou; Professor Chen Jia from Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University; and GHVU Vice Presidents Tang Tian and Li Mengrong.

The meeting site
During the meeting, President Tian Weiyi warmly welcomed the delegation and all representatives. He emphasized that as the only undergraduate vocational institution in China specializing in healthcare and elderly care, GHVU is committed to serving the 'Healthy China' initiative through innovative vocational education. He highlighted that this partnership is a valuable opportunity to deepen collaboration between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Western China. GHVU aims to build an interactive platform for faculty and student exchanges, share research achievements, and co-develop a high-level talent training base. He noted the importance of leveraging Kiang Wu’s strengths in nursing education alongside GHVU’s resources to achieve new breakthroughs in collaborative research.
President Yin Yiqiao expressed gratitude for GHVU’s thoughtful arrangements and praised its achievements in the field of healthcare and nursing education. She affirmed Kiang Wu Nursing College’s longstanding commitment to integrating nursing education with clinical practice, and believed this cooperation would deepen synergy in elderly care and cross-cultural communication. She emphasized that resource sharing and complementary strengths would support talent development for the integration of the Greater Bay Area and Guizhou’s healthcare industries.
During the visit, the delegation toured several key facilities including GHVU’s Healthcare Training Base, Intelligent Rehabilitation Industry-Education Integration Center, Herbal Healthcare Products Engineering Research Center, and the National High-skilled Talent Training Base. At the Aixi Elderly Care Home, a university-industry demonstration site in Wudang District, both parties exchanged ideas on industry-education-research collaboration in smart elderly care and integrated medical services.
