During the meeting, representatives from GHVU introduced plans to offer online Chinese language courses. The initiative aims to support the global implementation of the 'Chinese + Vocational Skills' program by offering a practical and localized learning experience for international students. Drawing on its strengths in the healthcare and elderly care sectors, as well as its experience in Chinese language instruction, GHVU is developing a customized curriculum specifically designed for students and faculty in Georgia, promoting Chinese language proficiency alongside the dissemination of healthcare-related cultural knowledge.
ATSU responded positively to the proposed cooperation, praising GHVU’s achievements in vocational education and healthcare training. They expressed strong approval of the proposed curriculum framework and voiced interest in deepening collaboration in course development, academic research, and other fields.
Imereti, Georgia, is a sister province to Guizhou, China. ATSU was recommended to GHVU by the Guizhou Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries as a high-quality potential partner. To strengthen international cooperation and advance the overseas promotion of the 'Chinese+Vocational Skills' program, both institutions convened this exchange session.
Looking forward, with the gradual rollout of online Chinese language courses, both universities anticipate enhanced learning experiences and development opportunities for faculty and students alike. Together, they aim to contribute to international educational exchange and cooperation, establishing a new model for mutually beneficial academic partnerships.
