Guided by Experts, Dialogued by Youth: Elderly Care Frontiers Sharing Session by Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau

On the afternoon of November 20, 2025, Associate Professor Wong Ka Fai from Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau delivered a sharing session titled "Changing Our Nursing Education for Wellness in Ageing" at Kangming Student Center of Guiyang Kangyang University. The session systematically compared the similarities and differences between the healthcare education systems in Macau and mainland China, while also sharing innovative practices from Macau in areas such as long-term elderly care and community health management.

Associate Professor Wong Ka Fai highlighted that Macau places strong emphasis on cultivating practical skills in elderly nursing education, with students having extensive opportunities to intern in various elderly care institutions and communities, thereby accumulating rich hands-on caregiving experience. In the field of long-term elderly care, Macau has developed a diversified service model that integrates medical, nursing, and rehabilitation resources to provide comprehensive care services for the elderly.

The session concluded with an interactive exchange between Associate Professor Wong and the students. This event opened a window for the faculty and students of Guiyang Kangyang University to understand elderly nursing education and practices in Macau, while also providing new opportunities for exchange and collaboration between the university and Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau in the field of elderly care.
