New Pathways in ASEAN Healthcare Vocational Education:
Malaysian Expert Shares Experience on Integrating Cultural Communication with Vocational Education
On the afternoon of November 20, 2025, Chang Peng Kee, Council Member of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association and Professor at Taylor’s University, delivered a lecture titled "From the Perspective on Cultural Exchange and Communication" at Guiyang Kangyang University. Drawing from Malaysia’s experience in healthcare vocational education, Professor Chang emphasized the central role of cultural understanding in cross-national cooperation. He also shared case studies of Malaysia-China collaboration in promoting joint curriculum development and faculty exchanges.
The lecture served as a vital platform for international dialogue within the framework of the 2025 "China-ASEAN Pioneering Healthcare, Globalizing Vocational Education" Event. During the interactive session, students engaged in lively discussions on how ASEAN's multicultural landscape influences healthcare service models, demonstrating the keen interest of young learners in cross-cultural healthcare topics.
