Lao Education Delegation from Luang Prabang Province Visits Guiyang Healthcare Vocational University for Inspection and Exchange, Discussing Vocational Education Cooperation

On October 29, a delegation of 10 members led by Mr. Senckhamonechanh (Ou Jiang), Deputy Director of the Education and Sports Department of Luang Prabang Province, Laos, visited the school for inspection and exchange. The aim was to promote in-depth cooperation between China and Laos in the field of vocational education, and to explore collaborative opportunities in areas such as talent cultivation, vocational training, and skills certification. Chen Liaoliao, Standing Committee Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, accompanied the delegation.

During the symposium, Chen Liaoliao, on behalf of the university, delivered a welcome speech, expressing a warm welcome to the Lao delegation and introducing the university's educational characteristics and achievements in international cooperation. Mr. Senckhamonechanh (Ou Jiang) expressed gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of the school's accomplishments in the field of wellness and healthcare vocational education. Both parties reached a consensus on the following collaborative directions:

1.Strengthen collaboration between the school, the Luang Prabang Department of Education and Sports, and relevant educational enterprises in Laos, enhance promotional efforts, and promote the recruitment and cultivation of international students.

2.Actively expand cooperation in overseas training, explore vocational skills training programs in key areas such as wellness and healthcare, and promote the implementation of an integrated "training + certification" model.

3.Commit to establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism by signing a strategic cooperation agreement to build a sustainable, practical, and results-oriented framework. This will facilitate deep cooperation in sharing vocational education resources and jointly cultivating talent between China and Laos.

Mr. Senckhamonechanh (Ou Jiang) and the delegation also visited the university's Wellness and Healthcare Training Base and the Intelligent Rehabilitation Industry-Education Integration Training Base, gaining a detailed understanding of the teaching facilities and practical training models in the wellness and medical fields. The Lao delegation visited the provincial-level nursing open training base of the school.

This visit has opened new pathways for cooperation between the school and Laos in the field of education. Both sides will use this exchange as a starting point to jointly build a new pattern of synergistic development for vocational education between China and Laos, contributing the strength of vocational education to serving the "Belt and Road" Initiative and strengthening the people-to-people foundation of the China-Laos community with a shared future.

Representatives from Lao Hongtai Education Trade Investment Consulting Co., Ltd., as well as relevant departments and schools of the university, participated in the activities.
